    Hello to all,

I'm running vista sinds the day it came out in the shop.

At first I had to wait until march for the drivers to be released for vista.

After that I installed the drivers on my vaio so the sound, Wlan, BT, screen brightness etc.. worked now.

But since the beginning my cpu speed is always at max 1.83ghz.

Under xp it changed depending on the load en than the laptop was quiet.

Now under vista the speed stay's at 100% with a terrible fan speed as a result.

Im tired of all the nois and looked everyware for a solution.

I read it had something to do with the "speedstap"?
But I can't find a solution for the vaio vgn-A417m.

The weird thing is when i boot my laptop unplugged from the power adaptor it is booting at 733mhz, it is quiet but it doesn't change either. When i put in the adaptor it stay's at 733mhz witch is too slow...

Can somebody plz help me with this problem. I'm becomming desperate.

    Thx.
