This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Ok I'm doing the modified vista clean install on my sz220 but I'm doing it on a new hd. After I install Vista will the backup that I've made (not recovery set) put all my files back where they were? Also is this still true if I partition the hd and if all of this does work all I have to do to move my documents, music, and video to their respective partition? Is it really that simple or will this FUBAR the install.
