I installed Vista on my VGN-SZ120P earlier this year and have not been able to fully get all of the Sony drivers working correctly. But for the most part, Vista worked fine and the battery life wasn't that bad. Then, I installed an update a couple of months ago (I think "Sony® Programmable I/O Control Device Driver Utility", http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-download.pl?mdl=VGNSZ120P&upd_id=2764&os_id=29), and ever since then I've had lots of power management problems and the battery doesn't even last a full hour anymore. Also, sometimes while it's plugged in, the power percentage left in the power management icon actually goes DOWN! Usually after going into standby or something, it will start working correctly again. I figured I could try uninstalling the update listed above, but it's not in the list of installed Windows apps.

Anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? :(

Does no one else have this problem?? I went ahead and ordered the Sony Vista companion DVD and installed it hoping it would fix this problem (among others...) and it didn't. It did fix some stuff, but the power meter is totally out of whack... :(

    Anyone, anyone...Bueller??

As I write this, my laptop's been plugged in for 2 hours yet I'm sitting at 0% on the battery, even though I know full well it has plenty of juice. I just uninstalled The Vaio power management software, but it didn't fix anything. Any ideas at all? :(
