Hi,
I have received last week my Sony Vaio TZ92 (VGN-TZ92HS) from Japan (pricejapan.com) and reinstalled the German Edition of Windows Vista because the original one was in Japanese, I didn't understand one single word![]()
Anyways, after a new, clean install, I tried to install the drivers/tools from ftp://ftp.vaio-link.com/PUB/OS/VISTAUPGRADE/ but MOST functions still don't work (e.g. WLAN, Instant On, FN Keys etc.).
So.. I'm wondering if anyone has made a Recovery Disc of the Original System (in Japanese) and could send it to me? I'd try to extract the Drivers from there... Or if you have managed to install the files manualy, I'd appreciate a quick tutorial.
Thanks!
Cheers,
needlz
EDIT:
This is what i found so far:
ftp://ftp.vaio-link.com/pub/OS/VISTAUPGRADE/
http://support.vaio.sony.co.uk/downloads/updates/updates.asp?site=voe_en_GB_cons&c=0&s=VGN-TZ&m=3082
(VAIO UK provides a wonderful service - and their software is wordwide compatible).

I think someone with a TZ91 or TZ90 could help me too. Btw, what are the European or US equivalent of this notebook? TZ3? Does anyone know where I can check which WLAN Card I have? I tried all drivers from ftp://ftp.vaio-link.com/pub/OS/VISTAUPGRADE/DRIVERS/WLAN, but none worked.
Thanks & Cheers
