The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Well we have a thread acknowledging the availability of service pack one and another thread that addresses install problems (mainly the sound driver issue). Well I thought it was time we discuss...did Service Pack One make any difference on your Sony Vaio.

    I have heard people talk of decreased hard drive and CPU whine, battery life increases and minor performance increases. And another thing what graphics card drivers work better under service pack one. There are some starting points, talk it up!
