    Hi
I just got my Sony FZ-190 today and im in the process of configuring stuffa nd removing all the 30 day trials etc to make the boot time quicker. I have Windows Vista Home Premium installed on this and one thing i want to get rid off on startup is that sony vaio toolbar at the bottom of the screen. It simply has links to VAIO secuirty Center, VAIO productivity center, and VAIO Entertainmetn Center. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to get rid of this toolbar on startup.
    Thanks a lot.

Go to msconfig, uncheck vaio productivity center related progs, any program which you don't want during start up.

Uninstall the progs which you don't need first and then play with the msconfig. Sony loads too much crap for some reason.

I was preparing the list of software that was initially on my FZ190 getting ready to do an actual clean install. I found an entry in the add remove programs called "Vaio OOBE" (Vaio Out Of Box Experience) I never installed it when I did the clean install. But I have a HUNCH this might be the app that displays that toolbar. But since I don't have it on my machine I can't be certain.

You might want to uninstall that BUT ONLY AFTER YOU CREATE A BACKUP OF YOUR C: DRIVE!!!! Or at the very least set a system restore point.

Like I said this is only a hunch, I take NO responsibility for what happens if you do uninstall this app. That's why I HIGHLY recommend you make sure you have a failsafe way to get back to where you are right now before you try this.

P.S. Post back here with your findings because I know there was one other message today about this very same issue.
