    Hi,

Unfortunately I have just found out that my Vaio recovery media is damaged and I cannot restore my Vista OS.

I do however have a Vista upgrade DVD that I would like to use to restore from. Unfortunately I do not have my real product key (using ABR or similar) so this is a no go.

All I would like to be able to do is a clean vanilla install of Vista under my own licence. Is there a way I can retrieve the real product key that I need from the damaged install media (I can still read most of it - just cannot complete an install)?

Alternatively does anyone have a copy of the recovery partition/DVD that I could download?

    Thanks for any help

If you want i can give you my own Vista Business key, i dont know if this is allowed on the forum or not but since I own a SZ60WN/C and I have upgraded to Windows 7 so I have no more use for the key, Im not really sure how keys work but i have restored windows a couple of times and had no problems using the key a few times. so you can try it out and see if it works for you :) PM me
