I'm about to buy a SZ. First of all, I'd like to know if the "drivers" recovery CD can be created within the SZ as the "Recovery CD can be created within SZ itself. How do you create the drivers CD? Or are the drivers only available through Sony website?
Also, I heard that Sony gives an incentive for free purchase of Vista for those who bought XP preinstalled SZ. Because preinstalled Vista only works on that particular PC, would it be better to buy XP preinstalled SZ and get a free Vista separately so that in case your PC dies, you can transfer them onto other PC.
Or would it be better off to get preinstalled Vista to avoid drivers malfunction hassles??
Lastly, my purchase is eligible for Super saver shipping from Amazon, are they safe? Do they require receiver's signature for an expensive item like SZ? We had strings of theft problems in my apartment.

If you actually want to use Vista, then get Vista pre-installed. However, if you want to dual-boot with XP AND VISTA, then get XP pre-installed and order an express upgrade to Vista.

Since Vista is replacing XP, I want to go with the Vista as long as the newer SZ model with Vista preinstalled is not having any driver problems? Has anyone noticed any problem in regards to the newer VGN-SZ450 and up?
Vista vs. XP Vaio purchase decision. Which is better choice?
