Sony Tablet S has made it to the 2011 Tablet World Series finals against the Lenovo Thinkpad tablet. Right now the Lenovo tablet is in the lead. If you want the Sony Tablet S to win this contest then please vote for it here.

Might as well get this part of the thread going...

The Samsung 10.1 is better than the Sony. Here's why, and all IMO, of course

    1. LTE support
    2. Thin
    3. Better community support

The IR transmitter is cool and all, but I prefer the Griffin Beacon. It only works with the iPAD/iPhone currently, but an Android app is in the works.

Would never understand what the world needs tablets for (we already have digital picture frames and laptops), but anyway... would have voted for Sony if it wasn't too late :)

    Thanks anyway guys :(

Lenovo fans voted in the last few hours in huge numbers and made the thinkpad tablet win. In the final 8 hours Thinkpad tablet went from trailing by over 10% behind the Tablet to leading with a whopping 20% + margin.

I am suspicious of any "Tablet World Series" where the iPad 2 and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 both get knocked out in round one. Just sayin'.

hmm agreed, I don't see how the galaxy tab got kicked out by the sony tablet. I have used both and the Sony is not much better than the samsung, apart from some apps that allow control of home electronics and etc but it has no native xvid or divx support. Oh well

I'd wait for tegra 3 and see if sony decides to release more tablets, but I doubt that.

I think the Sony beating Samsung is debatable, but they never should have been pitted together in the first round to begin with. This is tournament seeding 101. The serious contenders should come together as late as possible.

And as for the iPad 2 losing in round 1 to the Asus Eee pad slider...yeah, sorry, I call bull. I know Apple is the company people love to hate, but the iPad 2 is a really, really, really good tablet by any yardstick.
