I just bought a Z13 V9E/X. It's almost perfect, but there is one issue: The fan is really annoying. It sounds exactly as in this youtube-video:
    YouTube - ‪vaio z13 fan noise‬‏

I dont care if the fan is loud while playing games, but i expect the fan beeing silent at least in idle.

Can anyone tell me if this is normal? I can't believe Sony is using such buzzing fans in their Top-of-The-Line Products...

    ^ Like he said.

If you bought it new, get it replaced NOW. My VPCZ1 is silent. Even at full load, I can barely hear the fan.

Nah, all Z's do have some slight buzz when idling because the fan doesn't stop at all. When it comes to some serious work for CPU and GPU, our Z's do produce jet-like noise. Unless it does scratching, rattling or low freq humming, everything is fine. There is not much you can do about that, its just too much power in a small laptop.
