    Hello,

I have vpcz12hgx with 512 gb ssd in raid 0
Recently i have error message on port 3 of that raid and decided to change to JOBD configuration so i follow the guide in
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...jbod-on-the-new-vpcz1-series-with-ssd.467519/
And added to that i changed the controller in BIOS from raid to ahci and enabled Intel VT and used portedmagic to secure erase the 4 drives.
And start clean install of Windows 10 as per this thread as i already have hacked bios
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/vpcz1-bios-hack-windows-10-clean-install.779677/
The problem that i can not format the rest 3 drive i have after i install windows even after initialized.
It keep giving me format error.

    Any help?

    just a guess.

did you delete the RAID volume before you switched to AHCI mode.

If not, the discs may still be registered as being part of a raid volume thus no formatting allowed in the OS.

If so, switch back to RAID mode in BIOS, enable the RAID configuration view, delete the broken raid volume and switch back to AHCI afterwards.

no warranty, all your own risk.

For feedback this way does not work
It still refuse to format , i think jbod configuration is not suitable for all vpcz1.

did you try using the system in RAID mode. There is no reason I'm aware of why you would want to switch to AHCI mode. you can use RAID mode without creating RAID volumes! I have this setup using two separate SSDs working perfectly.

    Thanks,
I did not consider RAID back again because AFAIK it will not pass trim command so i go with AHCI to permit it.

Just correct me please if i understood mistakenly.
