    Hello,

today my Sony power supply unit suddenly made "boom" and a darting flame came out of it. I was lucky enough to react fast, threw it onto the carpet and put the flame out.

So to all owners of a VGP-AC19V14 power supply unit (that's for the FE and probably other series)

pay attention to your power supply !!!

Don't position it near paper or flammable materials; keep a towel or something in reach to put the flames out.
Obviously Vaio power supplys are not as safe as I thought they'd be. That's my lesson from today...

    yours,
    josh

Ifthis has anything to do with the battery fiacso a few weeks back, its going to be the double whammy for Sony. Although, I don't think that will be the case, if not enough of these cases are reported to Sony.
