I've got Sony B100B07 from Sony, but on the back-label (show model, specifications, S/N), they printed "SONY MODEL PCG-5B1L" - What's happened with it? Why do they not print "SONY MODEL VGN-B100B07"? Please show me the way to check PCG-5B1L has relation with B100B07. Thanks thanks thanks all of you!

That's normal. Sony uses some weird combination of alphanumerical number for their internal model number now.

But besides my B100, Sony has the other label with other name for the same products or not? Such as they printed "Sony Model VGN-B100". Huhuh.. Please explain to me!
I wonder because I'm affraid that they delivered wrong products to me. -

I've searched and found the explaination from Sony support website: "Notebook computer model names begin with the letters "PCG" or "VGN" and are located on a small label on the frame around the LCD display or above the keyboard", and "Do not use the "Model" listed on the grey label on the back of the computer as this will not provide the correct information."
Sony is so complicate.
Whew, dear Skyshade, thank you so much for your sharing!
