    My wife has a Sony Vaio PCG-K13 [2004] running Windows XP--the wi-fi card is a LAN-Express 802.11b/g mini-PCI adapter.

I have installed all Windows updates, including XP Service Pack 3, and the LAN-Express driver is the latest, according to Sony's website [not updated since 2004].

Our wi-fi access point is a Linksys WRT54G. When set to WPA2-PSK with TKIP+AES encryption, the Vaio works just fine, as does my 12" PowerBook G4/867 [2003].

Since WPA2/TKIP has been cracked, I'd like to go to AES only. When I set the router to AES, my PowerBook continues to work, but my wife's Vaio simply will not work.

Is there an issue with the LAN-Express hardware and AES? Or is there something I'm missing?

    Thanks
