    HEY all!

Tell me: where can I find "the" best extended life battery to put into my Sony AR series notebook? And, I believe all batteries made for the AR series will work with all models in the AR series...correct? They have the same frame/design/everything, right?

I'm looking to get at least 4 hours of use out of it. Suggestions?

    Thanks!

I assume it will double in life. I'm pretty sure the SZ, AR, C, FE and maybe other series have the same batteries. That was the link provided by Sony when you order a AR so there's no question whether or not it is compatible.

    Thanks for the reply!

How do you calculate the amount of hours your laptop will get out of a battery? 4400mAH is the standard battery capacity; it only gets an hour and a half max use. I would assume 8800mAH would be double, not 7800mAH...unless I'm calculating badly. And the battery you list (VGPBPL2C) is only 7800mAH.

Has anyone used this battery? What were your results? Thanks.

Well Sony says you will get 1.5 times more power - which is hard to believe considering they list 6 hours for the SZ with a standard battery. I suppose it all depends on what you're doing, I believe your graphic card plays a part as well. Sorry I wasn't able to help more.
