I purchased a VGN-NS135E from Circuit City last year (Oct 24 2008). As of today the speakers are dead and the dvd rom is messed up. It makes clicking noises and what used to take several minutes to rip an audio CD takes an hour to an hour and a half.

Anyways, I have a few questions regarding warranty:

    1. I'm pretty sure there's a 1 year manufacturer's warranty from Sony right? Is it 1 year from the date of purchase or 1 year from when it was made (like some electronics products).

    2. If I'm eligible for warranty, where do I go, who do I talk to to have it fixed?

    3. My issues, are they warranty issues?

    4. How long should I expect a return of my laptop?

    thanks,

    really appreciate all the help.

1.) Call Sony, give them your Serial Number (Location: On the bottom of the notebook.)

2.) Sony will know, we're not mindreaders

3.) Sony will know, it probably is

4.) 2-3 weeks after they receive it
