    WaveOut Mix

    Is there anyway i can install WaveOut Mix for this Vaio vista?

    None I know of, the driver doesnt support it sony would have to release a new driver. Different OEMs disable support for that feature in different ways, some disable the WaveOut endpoint in control panel-> sound but for others they follow the cheaper option which is to either:

    not provide a driver that provides support for waveout
    use an audio card which doesnt have the hardware to support waveout

    the second is the cheaper and not uncommon option. I remember reading some article almost 2 years ago about a vista program that would let you record anything played over your speakers im sure it was on itsvista.com but cant find it now.

    Alternatively if you have the connections on your computer you could plug a cable from an audio out port into an audio in port.. ive never tried it but i guess in theory you could plug a standard audio cable from your headphone port to your microphone port then play sound over your "headphones" and record from the microphone.
