    Hello All,

I've a SONY VAIO SZ460N/C, the webcam seems not working. I'm running VISTA Business, I believe that it's VGP-VCC5, before updating to SP1 it was detected as unknown device in the devices manager, after updating to SP1 it was easily detected as SONY Visual Communication Camer VGP-VCC5.

Camera is listed in the device manager with yellow mark, updating the driver with Windows returns no results. I've tried SONY representative instructions like:
    1- Uninstall device
    2- Restart
3- Install new driver from SONY website "SODCAM-01277104-US.EXE" Version : 6.1003.205.0
    4- Restart
5- Open device manager and try to update driver with right click > update driver.

All these steps didnt work, I even made a full recovery but it didnt solve the problem. I bought the laptop from eBay so I assume the problem appeared before the seller make the recovery.

I really want this fixed. I'm willing to offer financial compensation via PayPal.

    Hello all,

I've Sony VAIO VGN-SZ460N/C running just perfect with Vista, the only issue comes with web cam, I got this message:

Compatibility issue between Vista and RY5U870_ImageSensor02, by RICOH Company Limited.

I downloaded the driver from SONY but solved nothing, many users are having the same issue, anyone was able to solve it?

    Thanks

    Hello,

I was able to detect the webcam type which is VCC5 and installed it on device manager however i'm getting a Code 10 error which says the device cannot start. Any idea how to fix this issue? I'm not in the mode to reformat it since I have to download all drivers from SONY website and I believe that the problem is not that tricky !

    Thanks
