Weird Driver Error w/ Vaio Z (Help!)

Hello,

I been using REMOTE PLAY for my PS3 for a while. It was working fine, until recently.

Now, I get this odd error upon trying to load the Remote play application. The error states:

"Remote Play with PlayStation 3 could not be launched because an unexpected error occurred. (0x8004a003)"

I'm absolutely lost with this problem. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, googling and calling Sony for any help, but I've been unable to find the root of the problem.

Does anyone know what the above error even means?

I don't know what you mean by that.

 

He means that you need to lower your screen resolution (Display properties and remote play settings) though I do not know what that would change...give it a shot though^^.

I would say do the following:

1)Ask yourself: what changed between when it was working and not working? Did you update the PS3, your drivers, your router, anything in between?
2) There is a mod going around to run RemotePlay on a non-VAIO PC (Google it). Try installing that. If you uninstalled something of Sony's your PC might not be recognised by the PS3 as a Remote-Play enabled device.
3) If all else fails. Run a recovery on both devices. Backup your data: PS3 and PC, and run the recovery partition on the PC and a factory wipe on the PS3.
