Hey all, my 1 day old Z540 responds VERY SLOWLY whenever I try to double click or right click on the network icon on my system tray. Very slowly as in whenever I click it, nothing responds. Until 3 whole minutes later, a message shows up.
This also include the network sharing window that opens from the options. Anyone know why is this not running smoothly? Perhaps some conflicts?
When I move my mouse cursor over the "network monitor icon" it says:
"Connection status: unknown
Server execution failed"

help!
*edit* albeit the annoyances and hiccups the network icon creates, i can still go online fine. Just that the icon "displays" the animation which usually indicate no connection.

Are you connected to your own wireless router? or are you using you neighbour's?
What signal strength do you get?
Try do a repair. -
Im connected to my own wireless router.
You know the wireless indicator icon or whatever it is called on every laptop? When the laptop is not connected, it has that blank monitor look with a red X in the middle of it.
So I move my cursor over it, instead of giving me a message asking me to "connect or disconnect" or "open network sharing center" it displays a balloon saying "Connection Status: unknown. Server execution failed"
So I double click on it hoping to see a popup for wireless connections, instead, I get no response, until 3 minutes later, the usual balloon pops up, except it seems to lag so much when I click on any of the options offered, it takes 3 more minutes for that window to load. And when that window loads, it freezes -_-
So im just wondering why this occurs. -
I can't tell why. But I would go into devices manager, and see what is wrong with wireless adaptor. If nothing wrong, I would un-install it, reboot and let windows install it again. Hopefully that will correct any errors.
