Check out the attached picture. This was obvious to me, with full screen brightness, and looking at the screen from top to bottom at an angle. Anybody have this problem? Its like a sliver of brightness. Its the same type that would occur if you were to press the screen from the back.

I am wondering if I should send it for repair to have my screen replaced.

My apologies for the bad quality, but don't have a good camera.

I think for that kind of issue it needs to be send to San Diego to be evaluated if they replace it that possible it's a LCD manufacturer defect.

That's a pressure point. It's where too much pressure was placed on the point of the LCD. My SZ developed a few of those over the years.

Did it arrive with that? If so, you could probably send it in and get the screen replaced, if you really wanted to. If not, I wouldn't think they would replace it, but they might.

If you still in warranty they might replace it but if not you need to pay for it.

    Got my laptop back finally.

I had them replace both the LCD as well as the bottom housing of my laptop because my express PC card cover was not closing properly.

It took little over two weeks for my laptop to come back to me. The reason for the long delay was the bottom housing was back ordered and they were waiting for it to come in. Well the part came in yesterday, and they replaced both the LCD and the housing on the same day it came. Shipped it out the same day as well after the repair was completed, and I just got it now today. I am right now in Virginia. So overnight shipped it from San Diego to DC area.

The repair was done flawlessly. No scratch, no residue marks, nothing. The laptop looks brand new.

Except for the back ordered part that had my laptop sitting at their site for two weeks, I am overall quite happy with my experience.
