I purchased a sony 3 year warranty for my vaio with accidental. I just got it in the mail via UPS today. After opening the package i find 10 packets. Each packet looks the same except different serial #'s on the back. I use one packet and register my vaio and everything goes fine. After a bit i get curious and i enter some of the other serial #'s into the site to see if they are legit and they take me to the next step which is typing in your information. So it seems i got sent 10 warranties instead of 1. The receipt says Qty Ship / Order 1 and shipped 1. So the receipt says it was only 1. The first thing that came to my mind is that i am now rich but then I started thinking can the company i bought it off of go after me or something? What would you guys do in this situation? Sell 9 Warranties or call them up and tell them they made a mistake?

sell the 9 warranties then move...thats what i would do since i'm greedy (and hungry).
But the "right" thing to do would be to call them up, perhaps they will give you some compensation or something

There website says no return on this product because its basically a serial number. So i dunno its like 1800$ if i sell them at 200$ each which is cheap.

like ive been telling you filipp in Pm's, just sell them. they made the mistake, they haven't contacted you yet so they don't know and sony won't care cuz provantage already bought them bulk off them so why care, they got there money.

    just sell them on ebay

and lol if provantage gave you anything, it would be a whopping 10% or something off there products

I'm NOT an attorney, but selling warranties like this doesn't seem kosher to me. I certainly wouldn't buy one this way. Don't know whether the issuing company has a way of keeping track of legitimate warranties, but I'd guess that it does - even after making the error in sending you so many. Also, don't know what, if anything, the consequence of selling these warranties might be, but would not want to be the person being scrutinized if a sale like this is not legal.

The way i got them was basically in a stack of them shrink wrapped. Feels like the guy got lazy and didn't unwrap 1 and just sent out the pack of 10.
