I was surprised that I could run doom 3 with ultra quality mode (highest available) with no lag.
I'm very impressed, I took a screen shot.

I also did upgrade it to 2gb of ram, which I'm sure helps.

Anti-aliasing basically smooths out the edges of objects, like in the doom 3 pic you posted the railings aren't exactely rounded, you can see them jagging out. AA fixes that.

It is a video card feature. You have to turn it on within the game's graphics options menu. With medium graphics settings, 1024x768, 2x AA is pretty good. 4x or higher, and you take a significant performance hit.

well i'm not a fanatic.....i like nifty colors and pretty landscapes...the fact that a bar is kind of 'sticky and fuzzy' isn't going to bother me much....i know its fake....attempting to make it realer at a sacrifice of performance will only irritate me hehe

hell all i want right now is to be able to play Wow at max bells and whistles and be able to go to Iron Forge with no lag :p

Believe it or not, my S560 runs Doom 3 at 1024x768 pretty well in high quality mode. But to my surprise and dissapointment, I tried a less graphically intense game, Deus Ex: Invisible War and it was a slideshow at anything above 640x480 with the lowest quality settings. I think id (Carmack) did a really good job of optimizing the Doom 3 engine for lower end nVidia hardware.

Yup was also suprised at how good Doom3 runs on the Geforce 6400, its just amazing.. and the with the Geforce 7400 it runs on ultra settings? This is great..!

Antialiasing wasn't so strong on the 6400 though, In Need for Speed Most Wanted frame rates drop to an unplayable speed at 1024x768 even with 2xAA and lower details.
