    What HD marker does sony usually use for their vaios? Something like the NW or CW series...

    I suppose it varies with each line... whatever manufacturer is cutting them a deal on any particular capacity at any given moment.

    My 2008 FW-series came with a Hitachi drive when I configured it for their CTO "7200rpm 250gig" option.

    My CW came with a 320gb Hitachi drive. HTS545032B9SA00 to be precise.

    I thought most (recent) sony's came with hitachi or seagate drives.
