I think most of you already looked at various cases and sleeves to protect your expensive new Z, but what about the keyboard?

Dont you hate it when the keys get all shiny with normal use? Looks very ugly.
I was of getting clear keyboard stickers for my new Z:

Is this truly the best option? How are you planning to protect the keys?

Black stickers? Don't you have the lit keys?

I meant clear (see through) stickers, fixed the text.

Like the ones in the pictures above.

I'm probably part of the minority here, but I like shiny keys and wish they had been that way from the start -- then the wear wouldn't have shown at all.
Now it takes me around 2 years until I've worn most of the keys slick, the way I want them.

Actually I use a TPO cover for my keys. It's a single sheet that is custom-molded to the shape of the keyboard. They are easily found and ordered from eBay for about $11 (since the new Z11 uses the identical keyboard layout as the prior generation, a cover the fits any Z will fit this one). Well worth the expense, if you ask me. Some of the sellers even offer free international shipping (of course, they don't really weigh anything). I am attaching a couple of images to help you see what I'm talking about. I use this type of protector not just because it prevents wear on the keys (and helps resale value), but also because it tends to keep dust and other gunk from making its way into the key "holes."

Another option that has a bit too much tack (stickiness) for my taste is a silicon protector.

In any event, I would suggest that you pay special attention to the keyboard layout as the US vs. European vs. Asian keyboard layout is different and the protector needs to match.

Like FrinkTL had suggested, I'll also personally recommend getting a keyboard protector. :) I've also bought at least one for each of my notebooks. :) However, unlike FrinkTL, I prefer a silicon keyboard protector as I like the feel better.

Which type of keyboard protector fits you best is all subjective though IMHO. Good luck. :)

Oh wow, I didnt even know those existed. That's an even better solution. Can you point me to the ebay seller where you got those images from?

Just bought a Nano-Silver TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethanes) Keyboard Protector for VAIO Z...

    Details are showing below:

You may find some other useful information for choosing a keyboard protector from this link: (although I didn't buy there...)

    TPO: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390065803944&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

Keep in mind, I'm not advocating that you purchase from a particular seller. The TPO seller it the one I order from and the silicone seller was the first one I saw on the search in Ebay.
