    Hi all,
    i just want to know the difference between FE models.
    I have VGN-FE570G Core Dou 1.66 Ghz, 1GB memory, 160 HDD, wireless abg, Bluetooth(that never work or there) etc,etc.

    Compared to the VGN-FE690 i supposed that FE690 should be better than FE570G is it so? because i still have time to return my FE570G and get FE690 or something else.

    the only difference with the FE690 i believe is the option for a 7600 in sonystyle.

    Nopes, FE690 is XBrite-Eco while FE570G is XBrite-HiColor, which wud mean much better display on 570G i suppose

    Is that the same difference between the X-Black with or without Dual Lamps?

    I dont know about the american models but in the UK, the base model FE21B (US FE690 models) has one lamp, whereas all FE11 (US FE590 models) screens were dual lamp and every model other than the FE21B has dual lamp.

    Actually, when your customizing the 690, if you have an intergrated graphics card you will get the xbrite-eco. If you get the Xbrite-HiColor with camera, you can choose the Nvidia 7600 or Intergrated Graphics

    Nope, Xbrite-HiColor is better than XBrite-Eco, thats why if you upgrade your video card you need to upgrade the screen too

    So my FE570G is better than FE690? Is it possible for me to upgrade to the Nvidia 7600 graphics Card?
    I just bought a 1GB Memory for my FE570g and took out one of the 512MB memory. so now i have 1.50GB memory, if anyone is intrested on the other 512MB memory, let me know because i dont have anything to do with it now.

    Not necessarily. Thats what Im saying, the only thing that the Fe690 could have better than the 570 is the video card, all the other components can be picked the same.
    hmn i wonder if its possible to upgrade to a 7600? I think its soldered I dont know.
