Hi all, I own an AR41S and was recently thinking although I do love it (great screen, AV ports, i like vast amounts of black) I wish it had a full size keyboard, it certainly is wide enough for one and i think it would suit it for the programs i use.

So I was wondering what do other people wish their vaio had or what they wish was there or wasnt there, of course i dont just mean an AR or a keyboard but feel free to say so if like me the lack of a dedicated numpad just p**s's you off or if you feel the opposite.

I wish that Sony wouldn't disable Intel VT (hardware virtualization) on all of their Vaios.

I'd like a backlit keyboard to at least be an option on their notebooks. :)

I would also like the webcam to swivel so you can record yourself and what is in front of you.

I'd also like a modular bay for their notebooks, be able to easily swap out the DVD drive for another battery, hard drive or weight saver. I really want this the most. :D

Hi rahulnirmal good points! My friend has a BX running XP with one of those modular bays its his business machine so its really useful on trips and the extra drive for using at home. I got VT working but certainly shouldnt have to be done manually i think sony will have to do it soon with hyper-v coming relatively soon from microsoft.

Id definately like the option of a backlit keyboard especially if there was a hardware toggle button. Just watched a video on youtube of the eeepc with a touchscreen id love to see one on a tz =D

my vote probably would be for the backlit keyboard too. maybe a blue backlight against a black color would look good. what laptops even have backlit keyboards I don't think many do.

Well as far as I am concerned I think the SZ7 is just perfect.

I could probably fo on about more RAM or a more powerfull CPU, but I don't need them, I may want them though.

So in regard to being a good laptop - I'd say the SZ is perfect.

Now I know this is my opinion and someone is going to contradict me :D

PS: I do actually like the keyboard.

I have a CR290, and the only thing I wish I had is a functioning VAIO Update program.

After spending aver 4 hours over two days with tech support...
After being told how it is supposed to work...
After doing a full factory software restore...
After reloading all my programs and data...

I now find out it was never implemented!!!!

Vaio TZ was excellent, although the 11.1" was a bit too small for my liking.

Vaio SZ was also excellent. What could be improved was the keyboard and I was not 100% satisfied with the screen. (not as good as TZ screen)

It seems like the Z series will bring everything I want. Except for the price.

I like the Toshiba, i think protege? with the lcd display on the front more notebooks should have something like that its been cheap in desktops for a while now. And gotta love that swivel around screen turning it into a tablet pc.
