    What drivers are needed to enable FN brightness?

    After searching all day for Drivers because the official Sony site said my vaio cant run Win7, blah, blah, etc,etc, I finally decided to drop by here and fount this list

    I finally was able to figure out what was needed in order for the touchpad to work but dont know which file is need to enable FN keys for brightness to work. My Vaio series is NR (NR160E)

    Install the GPU driver, SFEP driver, Sony shared library, and Vaio Event service in the order mentioned to enable the FN key, brightness, and OSD. Install the latest or the last but the latest dated/ versons in the FTP link.

    UPDATE: Volume OSD works but FN brightness key still does not.

    the SFEP file, theres nothing to install.

    Go to device manager and right click "unknown device" > update driver > browse to driver folder.

    Thanks, that worked. Only problem is that if i go all the way down, the screen turn completely off. Anyway, thanks.

    That's strange. The same thing happens on my VGN-NR498D.
    To turn it back on just raise the brightness by the FN keys, close the lid down and open it again.
