    Sadly VAIOS are littered with all this junk that Sony loads on and really lags the system big time. Ex - Vaio Centre. What is safe to take out? On mine, I have over 5GB worth of this sony stuff! That is uhhh :mad: I dont know what half of the stuff is.

    I'll let the others here post their thoughts since I'm not familiar with the unique functions of that model, but once you get thru trashing a bunch of stuff, check out http://www.answersthatwork.com/

    I have found alot of **** running in the background on XP even after deleting many of the programs. They've got a cheapie & good program that id's much of the cryptic junk running in the system tray/startup processes.
