    I have searched google and this forum but cant find any information on CTO. Its like everyone knows what it is except me?

    What is the CTO, CTO-1, CTO-2??

    they prob bought the basic frame themselves then fix up the hardwares.

    always go by offical sony website....
    "we sell/have models that Sony themselves doesn't have" will never happen.

    Not true, many companies offer Custom To Order notebooks.

    CTO is configure to order I confirm it with my friends who work in sony(US).
    That's what they call it .

    correct. that is what it is known if you work in a manufacturing environment.

    some company call it BTO - Built to Order.
