What is the S: drive for? The C: drive, the main drive, occupies the majority of the hard drive capacity, but the S: drive takes up a little over 1GB of space.

Is it safe to backup the PC into the S: drive using Norton?

    Thanks.

I think it's the recovery partition. Instead of giving you a restore CD like all other OEMs, Sony instead decides to put all their crapware onto a partition of your hard drive. You can delete it if you want, or make it larger and put backups on it.
