What is the best way to clean the glossy screens? There are finger prints and streaks on there now thanks to a napkin and water.

You may not believe this... but I have always used scotch tape on these glossy screens. Takes some patience but works better than any cloth I have ever used.

BTW I went and got this kind of cleaner

and used the cloth that came with my glasses. Im guessing that it isnt microfiber material and need to go get some.
I never really heard about the scotch tape use before. I dont know if I have the guts to try that. -
WHAT THE...
I just noticed that piece of plastic part around the LCD is loose. I can move it with my fingernail and push it back and forth.
Is this suppose to be normal???? -
Yes, the plastic frame - especially at the top - is very flimsy. It simply snaps together. And yes, all of the SZ's are built in a similiar manner.
This is one of my complaints about the Sony build quality. Great design, great screen, but some very cheap pieces (hnges, keys, interior frame). -
Back to the screen issue. I guess I got the laptop screen as clean I as can. I just need to apply firm presure and go back and forth a few times.
Now its off to read about the spacebar issue. While typing this the spacebar has been unresponsive when i tap it on the far left or right. -
The tape will work fine... It's not sticky enough to leave any residue. Just try it... trust me you will be happily surprised with your results. I have used this method on my DV equiptment for quite a while. Works great on pda or cell phone lcd's too.

EDIT: Be SURE to only use clear scotch tape. No masking take or any other kind... just scotch tape.
What is the best way to clean the screen?
