    I have a VPCZ1390X bought in Dec 2010, from sonystyle.com

The standard battery is reporting a designed capacity value of

    59500 mWh

I am currently down to 57120 mWh though
a wear level of 4% so far.

that's roughly 6 months of daily unplugging. this battery is way better than
the one that came in my old HP DV6000.

It actually didn't start to show wear levels until after 3 months.

I used to keep it fully charged at 100% for maybe 1 month before I learnt about the 80% charge function feature through vaio batterycare.

No problems here. Got mine for almost a year now and no wear on my standard battery. And i don't use battery care, and it's always plugged in at home and on battery ''on the road''.

11 percent wear, bought it almost 13 months ago. (I had mines on 100% for... pretty much 10 months in, then i recently switched to 80% and being a college student, my battery goes through a TON of charge-discharge cycles)

My present Z116GG/B bought over 12m, and now the original 6-cell-battery wear is 20% of 59500 mWh. Alright.

that's the nice thing about premium sony-made cells - they'll last a bit longer then your standard cells you find in a dell or HP

How do I find the battery's reported value? When I got to Vaio Control Center it just tells me that my battery is in excellent condition.

There are tools like Battery Bar or HWMonitor (I recommend latter since it is portable and free).

Mine is 1.1.7 and I have "Sony Corporation VAIO, Intel Core i7 640M, Micron PC..., Micron PC..." that's it. Wonder why mine doesn't show the battery.

Thanks for the 1.16 link. After having this machine for 7 months, my battery is still 100% on all fronts. (Although I never used it very hard and I don't discharge too often, but it's still nice to see)

Mine is 6% wear after almost a year. Discharged maybe 2 times a week, plugged in constantly otherwise. Not bad at all.
