    What is the model of the ram inside sony vaio F13?

    Hi

    I was going for the G73 but finally decided to go for the sony vaio F13 customized.
    I wanted 8gb of ram inside the laptop but when i saw the price for 8gb i was :eek: ...sony sell them for 300$ (where i live i could find that for 30% off) so i decided to go for 4gb.

    First i was thinking to sell the 4gb that will be inside and buy 2x4gb in france, but i was thinking that maybe this sony F13 has 4 ram slots ??

    If yes, can you tell me, if you have this customized sony F13, what are the trademark and model of the 4gb included?
    If i go for 2x4gb, is there a limit (PC10600?) or can i put what i want?

    i never seen a laptop with 4 ram slots before. is there any option to buy 1x4Gb, then buy 1 more after market?

    There are only two slots. I don't have my laptop yet to tell you exactly what memory Sony ships with though.

    Edit: And in the US at least you cannot order it shipped with 1x4GB, only 2x2GB, 2x4GB, or 1x4GB + 1x2GB. I also couldn't afford the $300 so am hoping to find some cheaper RAM after I get it - may have to wait for some holiday sales. :)

    Order it in france, you can find 2x4gb Gskill PC10600 for something like 200$ :D

    I also have a F13 on order from sony since 9/26. Their estimated ship date is 10/13 for me.

    In the US. I ordered a set of Gskill 2x4gb 1333mhz PC310666 for $160 shipped from newegg. They had a promo that ended a few days ago.
