    SZ 650 and onwards have carbon fiber casing, so its lighter, LED screen. SZ 640 has regular casing and screen. the difference between 670 and 690 is one of them has some texture on the lid.

    Right, the SZ640 is a regular model whereas the others are "Premium" models which are slightly thinner and lghter because of the carbon fiber material and use LED backlit screens which account for the thinner screen. These will also obtain better battery life than the regular ones.

    The SZ691 currently is the highest end SZ whose lid is woven with carbon fiber and looks brown at a certain angle, very nice pics in the thread below.
