    Hey fellow Sony users =)

I just recently finished reviewing the VGN-Z890 and VGN-SR590 but I cannot figure out what to review next.

Does anyone have a request? Are there any laptops that no one can find reviews for currently? If there is enough demand I will do my best to get a hold of one and review it, and then post it on the forums.

I am a Sony fan of course, but if you need to go out of the realm of Sony I guess its okay...

If enough people care to answer, and if there is enough agreement, I will try to have a review or two in time for Xmas.

    Have a good weekend! =D

If your review includes how to disassemble for those of us that like to upgrade, I’d love a review of the X Vaio. I’d like to upgrade the hard drive.

ive read your review for Z890 at geekmontage, but im curious to know when you do the benchmark/stress test for graphic/cpu, may i know whats your temperature reading for cpu and gpu? just wonder if theres an improvement from the previous which read at kinda high temp for gpu (around 90 ~ 98c ).

    anyway, thanks for the review.

Can you review the New 14" line up from Sony...It is the Sony CW series and its currently the most in demand so much so that Sony is cancelling orders placed on it after thanksgiving. It has a pretty good GPU the Nvidia GT230M. I've been waiting for a review of this laptop on NBR for a long time. Please, can you take it up.

    No problem!
    part - idle / load
    gpu - 66c to 88c
    cpu - 57c to 93c

The temps seem to stay fine as long as I am not doing something demanding like loading a game... this laptop is new. I had to borrow it back from its owner who generously lent it out to me for a few days to review upon buying it. =)

I find that the laptop still performs okay at higher temperatures and that I could still use it without burning myself (mind the vent thought!) So to answer your question, I don't think they solved the heating issue just yet!

Thanks for the question! Questions like this also help me improve my reviews.. what cpu temps do you get?

    Hi everyone.

Please give me more opinions. Agreement with other posters is okay too. I just need enough opinions and agreement for my "what to review data" to be statistically significant. =)

I would also like a review of the CW series. Not many reviews are out for this so maybe you can be the first to make an awesome one :)

    You welcome!

The 93 was after leaving on a stress test for a while. That is just the highest I ever saw it go, thankfully it doesn't stay up there.

I have heard that some people have tried putting heatsync paste on to lower temperatures or have undervolted as well.

I still really liked this laptop though. <3

My room was around 80F when I did that test btw. :)

It'll be nice to see a FW590 review as I haven't seen a good detailed one on the web.

NBC's review indicated that the CW consumed no power while shutoff, which seems contrary to many others' experience.
