Hi, I wanna know what program utility is best for lowering fan noise.

my SZ160P model is somtimes noisy even in Library on battery mode.

VAIO Power management doesn't seem like working to me.

    So, I need the utility.

    Any suggestion? recommendation??

P.S: I tried NHC (notebook harddrive control(?)), but I couldn't lower fan spinning.

Notebook Hardware Control will probably support Core Duos in the next release but try RMClock, the new release is Core Duo compatible
On all these tools you wont "phyiscally" be able to lower fan speed settings but just adjust the Volage the CPU runs at. Lowering the voltage results in a cooler CPU and hence the fan will not switch on as often or spin slower
