    Hi guys,

    What is the max resolution that can be used when connectin sony VAIO laptops with HDMI ports? Is it 1080i or 1080p?

    I see...and how about the HDTV support? Is it capable of 1080p? Or is this dependable on the laptop config?

    Computer graphics cards only broadcast in progressive scan - you'll never see interlaced on a computer monitor - which has nothing to do with resolution. What your TV decides to do with the signal is up to the TV.

    by default the hdmi is capable of 1080p
    the rest is up to your tv.
