So i want to hook my new FW to a LCD monitor and i was looking at this
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824005128

Should i stick with 1600 x 900? Im afraid if i go higher res my FPS will drop while playing intensive games. Also if i buy a let's say 24" LCD monitor that has 1920 x 1080 and i use 1600x900 resolution on it how will it look? 20" LCD monitors appear to be the highest you can go to get the best 1600x900 resolution thats native.

If you are not right up close to the monitor, playing a game at lower resolution will not be noticable, because you're not reading small text which requires native resolution for best results with clear type, etc. Personally, I would always get the higher resolution.
