    Hi,

Got an old fe-11h lying around with a T2300 stock. Was wondering if their is a cap on the max cpu I could upgrade as I can buy a very cheap T7200 2ghz.

The mobo chipset is Intel i945PM but does SONY put a bios cap on CPUs for certain models?

Just replaced the inverter for next to nothing so I feel I am on a roll :D

    Cheers anyone

P.S. If anyone can tell what socket i945PM is would be great, I think its Socket M.

Nope, there aren't any BIOS caps. Just make sure to get a processor with the same FSB as the original like the T7200 you referenced. I'd go T5500 or higher, and you'll notice a significant speed increase with these processors. Also, before upgrading, make sure to update your BIOS to the latest version, just to ensure compatibility.
