    So the title says it all really.
    Did they do any hardware upgrades with the new line up?
    I'm thinking of the S series especially.
    I've noticed that they changed the battery time from 4-6h to 3:45.
    But that is probably just a result of using newer standards of measuring battery life.

    Have any one called Sony support about this?

    Besides Windows 8, the following is new:

    (1) optional touch support for the Vaio E and Vaio T;
    (2) introduction of the Vaio Duo 11 and Vaio Tap 20.

    As for battery life, I think that's not different hardware, but more accurate reporting. I remember my Vaio F2 claimed 5 hours battery life at default settings. HA. HA. HA. Maaaaaaaybe 3 hours at default settings. Most Sony battery life claims were inflated by about 50% (I remember this being a common point of contention with Vaio S owners). Now, though, they seem to be very accurate. They claim 4.5 hours for the Duo 11, which is exactly where the average review is finding in their own testing of the device.
