Sorry for my ignorance but I figure someone here can help clue me in fast. I was going to hold out for the SZ180 but I'm on a tight schedule and see that it would appear that I can get a 140 with basically all the same components or so it appears to me if I customize it. Can someone tell me what the difference would be if I ordered the 140 with -
    a 2GHZ duo processor
    1 GIG of RAM
    a 100GIG HD

The SZ140 is not a Premium model like the SZ180, so you don't get the LED backlighting, carbon fiber case, etc. Otherwise, yes, properly configured the guts will be the same.

If you're on a tight schedule, don't worry about waiting for the SZ180... it's not out yet, and it probably won't be until much later this year, if at all. The biggest difference (besides about $1000) is the display - the SZ180 will have the thinner, LED-lit screen while the 140 uses the same display technology found in the 110/120's. Also, the SZ180 will have the carbon fiber lid and Cingular WWAN service, while the SZ140 won't. Go ahead and get the 140, if you can get your hands on one - those are not easy to get, either...

Thanks - I started to look up the premium models. I guess they have a longer battery life because of the screen. I could use the battery life. I'm tempted to get the SZ90 - I think that is the same as the 180? It looks like you can't customize the premium model - too bad I would don't care about the cingular or any additional security.
