Hello fellow VAIO owners
I have owned a VAIO FZ(11S) for about a month now and i have to say i really like this laptop. However, This morning i turned it on and i noticed that somthing weird was happening with my screen:

there seems to be lots of pink streaks that appear everywhere and this persists while watching video too. Has this happened to any of you before? how can i make it go away?

Your screen captures are not showing any pink streaks at all. Not to say you are not seeing them, just that this indicates an issue with the LCD itself. The screen captures you make pull the info directly from the graphics card, which is obvious from the captures, not the source of the issue. There is nothing YOU can do to make this go away. The LCD is most likely going to have to be replaced. Can you upload any PHOTOS of the problem?

after i had shut-down my lappy for a few hours and turned it back on again, the pink streaks/distortions were still present, but then i adjusted the hinges (moved them back and fourth) and they appeared to have vanished
the screen seems fine...for now
I too agree that it must have been the LCD screen itself because when i look my uploaded images they seem to be fine now.
Anyway, thank you for the reply -
Nooo my screen started playing up again and this time i think its permanent (ive taken some photos):

Has anyone else experienced these problems/issues? Do you think i should i send my laptop back to sony? -
I had a similar problem with an HP. The video cable was getting pinched at the hinge and a couple of wires broke inside. At first the colors go wonky but can be fixed by moving the screen back and forth. After the wires are completely broken moving the screen doesn't change anything anymore.
My guess is that you need a replacement video cable. If your laptop is still under warranty, send it back. -

Better contact sony immediate before you're warranty expires. The service option would be for the computer what think is to send to sony and they will replace the LCD.
Whats wrong with my FZ screen? *help*
