    When will I get charged on Sony Style?

    I ordered a FW laptop on Sony Style a couple of days ago. Right now it is out of stock with a shipping date of the 18th. The status is processing. It also says that it is not paid for yet. When am I going to be charged for this? thanks

    I think they should charge you when it ships. This happened to me before(Not with sony)

    Same thing here. Ordered a SR490 August 1st. Due to ship August 11th. My order status shows "processing" and the details showed that I had not paid yet even though the funds in my paypal account went to $0. I sent an email to customer service about it. Got a pretty prompt reply assuring me that my SR was in production and that I would not be billed until the unit ships.

    I just ordered a VAIO yesterday. Mine says in processing and that I haven't paid, but I have a pending transaction with my bank and the money isn't available to me. I wouldn't worry about it.

    Update - checked the order status on my SR490. Says it shipped yesterday, August 5th. Account still shows not paid but I am sure that will change shortly...

    So yours shipped way ahead of schedule, huh? As far as internal components go, I only customized the RAM and added a Blu-ray drive. I've heard that with Sony it can either ship really early or really late. I ordered yesterday and mine has an estimated ship date of the 13th.

    Yes. I am pleased with that. I configured with the RAM, Graphics, Processor and HD upgrades. I opted for the standard shipping which is Fed-Ex. According to the track report it is on the truck in CA still. Safe to say, I will probably get it sometime next week. It is showing a delivdery date of the 11th.

    When I ordered from Sony Style, they immediately put a $1 hold against the Credit Card. When the order was confirmed, a new hold for the entire amount went in.
    This hold was changed to a charge the day after shipment. The $1 hold was never withdrawn but eventually expired.
