    When will Sony let people customize the NR series notebooks?

    I love the NR series' designs. But why can't Sony let people customize the NR series notebooks. The processors are too slow and the video card is terrible! :no:

    i agree, i prefer the looks of the NR over the FZ series.. in the UK they actually have a fairly high spec NR std model.. i also liked the FE series.. but the FZ im not sold on.. too square for my liking..

    I believe sony doesnt allow us to customize the NR because its main purpose was to be used as a budget laptop.

    I second that idea, i think its more in line with how Lenovo treats it's ideapad line... it keeps things cheap when you streamline the process and have less options. To cut costs, sony kept the NR production lines to pre-configured only.

    This is quite obvious seeing as the NR is quite a high quality machine for the price...in terms of materials, etc.

    You really think it will be called the NR? Based on Sony's bizarre naming schemes, they will ressurect the N title, just as they did with the SR...

    just an idea... SZ became the Z and SR....so the NR will become the N? or the R? and the CR will become the C...or CZ or somethin else?
