    Where can i buy a NEW battery for my notebook?

    I have a sony Vaio VGN-C240E

    i cannot find a battery for my notebook. I don't really care where i get it from. Sony would be preferable, but i know they charge so much for batterys, but i also do want the extended battery. the battery i used to have died by keeping it in my lap top all the time, when i had it plugged to AC power.

    I have the 2 yr warranty that lets them replace my lap top even if i were to break it, but i feel bad fraudently breaking it on purpose.

    would they give me a brand new lap top with a new battery if that were the case though?

    just go on google shopping and you'll find anything you need. There are other websites that do the search for you, but I like google and pricegrabber.com. Type in your battery info and choose the best/cheapest price. Click on the google link I provided and you should find what you are looking for.

    You have to call the service centre and ask them if you want an official one. You can try using an OEM from ebay, but I've heard they have compatibility issues.
