I week ago I discovered that I've lost one of the rubber feet that holds the lid from touching the keyboard (the one that is on the right of the Motion Eye camera). Is there a way I can buy a set of all the rubber feet of my Vaio TZ?

    Thank you.

I got rubber feet for my old FS from sony. They gave me for free since I was still within my warranty. You should give them a call, if you're out of your warranty they can probably sell them to you, I don't think they're expensive

Thank you omega05 for your quick answer. I'll try that. I bought my TZ in January, so I'm still in warranty.

You're welcome. You should call them. When I called for mine, it was shipped out the next day via express so i got it in less than 48hrs of making the call.

Well, finally on I called them. The ++800.. hotline is based in Germany (I live in Greece). After waiting for about 10 minutes I reached a rep who told me that these LCD spacers are available. When stating that Sony USA gives them for free under warrranty he told me that according to Sony Europe's policy those LCD spacers are not covered by Sony's warranty and I would have to pay for them. They also told me that I cannot get just one, and that they come as a kit. On 8th of September I received an e-mail telling me that it would cost me 8,79 euros (~12,5 USD). The thought of sticking other or hand made rubbers to my 2,500 euro TZ was out of the question, so I ordered them.
Yesterday finally I received a box which to my surprise contained just a nylon bag with just ONE tiny rubber spacer sticked onto it. I had to remove it from the bag and reattach it to my TZ.
I called Sony and they told me that the rep was wrong and that the spacer (just one) costs about one euro, the rest is courier costs (it was sent to Greece from Germany).

    Well, nice warranty!
It' s not that the cost was high, but when you buy such an expensive piece of hardware, you don't expect them to charge you for a 1 euro rubber spacer just after 8 months of purchase!

    Shame on you Sony!

I have the same problem with both the spacers on the screen and the rubber feet. The want to charge £25 or 35 dollars for new ones. Not covered under warrantee. This lap top cost $1500!!!

I told them that I would never buy another Sony product again, they have agreed to come back to me.

Sony really are a shambles, this is clearly a design problem.

I called them once for the same problem and they wanted to charge me 25€ for one rubber foot of my SZ even when my SZ is under warranty.

I had exactly the same problem with my TZ90 - Sony UK were spectacularly unhelpful as my notebook is a Japanese import: They would not even sell me the little rubber feet!
Eventually I contacted Jeff at conics.net who was able to source them from Sony Japan. The cost was 2500 yen (about 15GBP) in total for a bag of two, including shipping to the UK.
They are still listed on conics.net: http://tinyurl.com/lslqv2
    Hope this helps.

I'm also in the US, and I had to pay approximately $15. It took almost three weeks to arrive too, with the most ridiculously overprotective packaging I've ever seen -- a protective sheet on a piece of foam inside a protective bag, inside enough bubble wrap to ship a newborn baby safely in. For a 5 mm rubber piece.
I wish Sony would pay the same amount of attention to detail when actually gluing the nubs on. Cause they fall off too darn easily.

Back in the old days, Sony meant quality. The little rubber nubs on my old Walkman are screwed on, not glued on with Scotch tape strength glue. Times have changed.

Haha, I'm so glad I'm not the only one that hated this about my TZs (I owned three). All of them suffered from the same problem, which drove me NUTSO!

My z is still in warranty period, so I don't have to pay even I asked the technician guy about that. They just confirm my address and give me reference number and told me the rubber feet would arrive within 2 or 3 days.
