Where to buy SZ IN CANADA??? (for cheap)

Hi all,

I've considered all my laptop options and the SZ seems to fit the bill for portability & performance. The only problem is that I'm in Canada and Sony only seems to sell two SZ models here -- which cost between $2400-2800. That is a bit outside my price range (about double, actually). Where are people in Canada buying their SZ's? Is there a place to get lower-end (or discontinued) models for cheap here? Or a place in the US that will ship to Canada for a reasonable cost? Any help is greatly appreciated!

 

You can only get it on Sonystyle.ca and the Sony Store in Canada. Best buy carry the model too, but they have the same price as these ones

 

Thanks for your reply. I'm aware of sonystyle.ca, Best Buy and Futureshop. The cheapest model they carry is $2399 -- all high-end features. I'm really looking for a low-end feature SZ (or discontinued model) that go for around $1200-1300 USD on US mail-order websites. I'm just hoping there's a place in Canada that sells similar models or a US mail-order site that has a good rep shipping to Canada. Thanks.

hey i just recently bought the sz 450 from ebay from the user colpic he gets them from the states and YOU DO NOT pay Taxes, also u save money from the retail price, AND YOU DO GET THE WARRANTY! i got the sz450 saved 722 dollars off the final price with taxes, if he doesnt have the sz series on his store ask him and he will get it. the only thing that is bad is you have to wait, im still going to get mine at the end of the month. if you want to know more ask let me know.

 

Try Ebay or perhaps Craigslist, classifieds ads in your area as well?

 

Wow, i just get the same model from this guy on ebay two days ago too, i am waitting for it too.

 

you are going to have to wait for a while, cuz i bought mine a while ago (unless you are in the states) it takes 8-10 business days to get into canada, then 2 more to get to you but worth the wait! i should get mine with in a week cant wait!

yeah he can be trusted hes sold over 400 laptops and everyone is happy with their purchase hes not going to screw us over, also moshb if we were to buy it from the states, asides of me having to get a visa since im egyptian and it would be a pain in the ass, also it wouldnt be under warranty here in canada, but through colpic it is under warranty! win win situation

no the warranty is canadian, if i would have bought it from the states it would be an american warranty but colpic gets you the canadian warranty

btw he just contacted me and let me know there was a backlog with the supplier so he upgraded me to EXPRESS SHIPPING from canada which is over night instead of the xpress post that he had said i would get (2 business days) he said i should have the laptop on monday april 2nd!
