I have a two year old Vaio and recently, it stopped recognizing it's battery. Power Center says there's no battery. I've removed and re-seated the battery, and it seems locked silidly in place. Any ideas?

    Battery broke maybe??
My SZ's lasted for 2 weeks :D (production errors happen so) gort a new one under warranty.
So your wo't be a warranty case, but depending on your usage it may have gotten broken.

    Could be.

Their customer services site sent a response, telling how to shut down, unplug and attempt a restart on batter power. No dice - the machine acts as if there is no battery there.

The next step seems to be service. Grrr...
