    Hi all,

Is there a time frame or date when Sony will announce/release Sandy Bridge models? It's the F series i'm interested in and only seen the vapourware 3D model. Anyone know anything further?

    They've announced three Sandy Bridge laptops and a touchscreen all-in-one desktop: C, S, F & L series.

Far from being vaporware, the 3D F series is already available for pre-order, as are the C & S series including customise to order models.

Shipping from next week or the week after on the C & S.

(edit: all above info applies to UK, I think most of Europe is running about the same release schedule but the US is lagging slightly)

i stand corrected...i think it's me not looking well enough. I was trying to configure an F series (non 3D) to my liking and couldn't see sandy CPUs to pick from. Good to see releases are likely within an handful of weeks.

Yeah the configurable F series is still the old one, there's just that one new model on pre-order. That's what they did with the SB, then about a week later the configurator landed, so it shouldn't be too long.

There is also the CB series coming (15.6" w/ full HD option, as opposed to 14" on the CA), which may be worth you looking at, but I haven't seen word on that or any models up yet.
